Janice L. Carlson passed away Sunday, April 8th, in her Tucson home, surrounded by her loving husband and children. She was born in October 1938, in Centerville, Iowa. As a child her family moved to Rockford, Illinois and she graduated from East High in 1956. Jan met Neil, the love of her life, on a blind date in July of 1958. They married in Big Bear Lake, California July 3rd, 1959 and began their journey as a family, raising five wonderful children. Jan and Neil made Tucson their home in 1986. Jan loved to travel, was an avid reader and loved to discover new restaurants and food everywhere she went. And, she never met a stranger. She is survived by her husband Neil; her children Tommy, Kristen, Michael, Kimberly and Kathleen; thirteen grand children and seven great grand children. She will be buried in June, next to her mother in Scandinavian Cemetery, Rockford, Illinois but she will never be forgotten or cease to be loved by her family and friends.
