Travis William Hammond, 34, passed away Sunday, December 16, 2018 at his home in Tucson, Arizona. Travis was born in Dallas, Texas on August 30, 1984, spent the first 3 years living in Dallas and Tucson. At age 3 he moved with his parents to Adair, IL where he lived until age 16 working part-time on the family farm and with his dad remodeling houses. He attended elementary through 10th grade in Macomb, IL and completed his high school education in Tucson, AZ where they moved to be closer to their immediate family and continue the family business. In his youth, Travis was highly involved in Scouting, was a member of the Order of the Arrow, and only needed to complete one project to be an Eagle Scout. After arriving in Tucson he was involved in several social groups and had a continued commitment to helping others. Travis met his wife while living in Tucson, and started his family here.

Family was the most important thing in life to Travis. He was a devoted husband and absolutely adored by his two children. Travis is survived by his wife Catherine Lynn (Smiley) Hammond, his two children Quintin Travis Hammond (age 6) and Abigail Marie Hammond (age 3), parents Michael Travis Hammond and Joanna Marie (Neville) Hammond, loving grandmother Luz Maria Neville and a large extended family.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2018 from 2:00-3:00 pm at Abbey Funeral Chapel, 3435 N. 1st Ave., Tucson, AZ. 85719. Service will be from 3:00-4:00 pm. Upon completion of the service there will be a memorial and celebration of Travis’ life at 4:30 pm at Sacred Heart Parish Reception Hall 601 E. Fort Lowell Rd. Tucson, AZ 85705.
