Obituary for Kenneth E. Hutchison
Kenneth E. Hutchison, age 92, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 26, 2019. He was born in Stockton, Illinois on October 26, 1926, a son of J. Earl Hutchison and Fannie A. (Fennell) Hutchison. Upon graduation from high school, Ken joined the United States Air Force, stationed at Davis Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson. It was at a dance at Davis Monthan Air Force Base that Ken met the love of his life, Alfia Morales. They were joined in marriage in Tucson on November 26, 1949.
Ken was employed for 40 years with Mountain Bell Telecommunications, retiring in 1988. Ken was a 56 year member of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Tucson, where he served as an usher for 35 years. He was actively involved as a ticket taker for 40 years at University of Arizona sporting events.
Ken was a devoted family man to his loving wife of 69 years, Alfia; a loving father to three children, Marsha Hutchison, Mark Hutchison and Richard Hutchison and his wife Ranae; and a loving grandfather to his two grandsons, Troy and Trent Hutchison. Ken was preceded in death by two brothers, Wayne and Warren Hutchison.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 AM, Monday, March 4, 2019, at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 1946 E. Lee Street, Tucson. A Rosary Service will precede the Mass of Christian Burial, with the Rosary Service beginning at 9:30 AM at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Holy Hope Catholic Cemetery, Tucson, Arizona.
