Richard F. "Dick" Bette, age 71, passed away unexpectedly on March 7, 2019. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on April 24, 1947, a son of Francis and Ethel (Bauer) Bette. Dick graduated from Austin High School in Detroit, class of 1965. He attended the University of Detroit and Wayne State University. Dick was employed for many years in the pharmacy business. Dick relocated to Tucson in 1977. He was employed by the City of Tucson, Tucson Water, retiring in 2012.

Dick is survived by a brother, Tom Bette and his wife Margaret; a sister, Kathryn Lee and her husband Mike; seven nieces and nephews, James, Beth, Eric, Mike, Laura, Claire and Carolyn; eleven grand-nieces and grand-nephews, Anthony, Kate, Riley, Payton, Hadley, Avery, Warren, Hannah, Andrew, Madeline, Emily; and three on the way. He was preceded in death by his sister Dorothy; and his parents.

At Dick’s request, the Memorial Celebration will be private.
