Obituary for Milinda Rose Eliakis (Rose)

Milinda Rose was born in Killeen, Texas on November 25th, 1958. She was the second
youngest of 4 children to William and Margaret Rose. Her younger years were spent in Texas,
Alabama, Oregon & Colorado where she grew up with her siblings Cindy, Ann and Bill Jr., but
for the majority of her life, Milinda called Las Vegas her home. She was employed by the United
States Postal Service where she worked as a mail clerk until she sustained a leg injury in 1988
that eventually led to her retiring early on disability. Milinda had one daughter, Rachel (34), born
on July 12th, 1985. Milinda was a free spirit with a kind heart. She is known most for her
goofiness and lightheartedness and if you ask anyone that knew her, they’d most certainly have
a story to share about something she did that would make you laugh. She was witty and likable,
which lead to her making friends wherever she went. She loved music and listened to a wide
variety of artists and shared that love of music with her daughter. There’s nothing Milinda
wouldn’t do for her friends and family which was a major factor in her decision to relocate to
Tucson in her later years so she could be closer to her mom and dad. Milinda has expressed
before that in the event of her passing, she didn’t want anyone to be sad. She wanted her loved
ones to be happy for her, she wanted them to find comfort knowing that she would be smiling
down on them from heaven. She wanted to be remembered with fondness and love.

Milinda joins her father, William Rose; her Grandmother, Martha Knox; her Grandmother, June
Lindsey; and her Grandfather, Charles Lindsey in heaven. She is survived by her Mother
Margaret Rose; her daughter, Rachel Rose (Benson Brown, spouse); and her siblings Cindy
Rose, Ann Rose & William Rose Jr..
