Obituary for Edna Marie McConnell (McNew)
Edna Marie (McNew) McConnell 68, passed away Saturday, February 22, 2020, in Tucson, Arizona. Edna was surrounded by loved ones at the time of her peaceful passing. She is now joined with her beloved son, Thomas Joseph ( TJ ) McConnell; and her parents William "Bill" McNew and Marie McNew.
Edna was born in Douglas, Arizona, on January 28, 1952, a daughter to William E. McNew and Marie Alla McNew. She graduated from Rincon High School in Tucson, Arizona, class of 1970. Edna enjoyed her career in the property management industry, working as a property manager for over 30 years. Edna inspired and mentored so many others with whom she worked.
Edna is survived by her brother, Robert W. McNew (Linda); her sister, Jo Ann Patterson (Thomas); her aunt, Marlene Heinle (Roger); her niece Julie; her nephews Jason, Jonathan and Joshua McNew; as well as many grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
Edna loved animals, flowers and people. She will always be remembered for her helpful spirit and generosity. Edna is loved dearly and will be deeply missed.
