Obituary for Marjorie Artis Abdallah

Marjorie (Artis) Abdallah, age 88, passed away peacefully at her home in Tucson, AZ surrounded by her family on December 30th, 2020. She was born in Connellsville, Pa on March 11th, 1932; a daughter of Ada B. Artis and Robert Cox. Marge was a graduate of Connellsville Area High School, class of 1950. She lived in Maryland and Virginia during her young adulthood but returned to Connellsville, Pa to raise her family and work as the plant manager’s secretary for Anchor Glass Container Corporation. In addition to her full time job and caring for her family, she was a successful sales person for Home Interiors products. Upon her retirement, she moved with her family to Tucson, Az. Marge enjoyed being a doting grandmother, traveling, bowling and volunteering at a local hospital. She had a true passion for her volunteer position and will be fondly remember for her kindness and support to the new parents and their families and the hospital staff at the Northwest Women’s Center. She volunteered there for 18 years and was a team-leader and buyer for the women’s
center gift shop. Marge was also a member of the Red Hats Society.

Marge is survived by her husband of 58 years, Fredrick Abdallah; their children Rik Abdallah and Sherri (Abdallah) Hernandez and her husband Art Hernandez; her beautiful granddaughters Jessica and Caitlin Hernandez; her sister Barbara (Cox) Trout; and several beloved nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her beloved mother Ada B Artis; her father Robert Cox; and her older brother Thomas Lee (Artis) Nelson.

Due to the pandemic no services will be held at this time. The family has hopes of having a memorial service in the fall 2021.

I can no longer see with my eyes or touch you with my hands but I feel your eternal love in my heart until we meet again. You are always loved, never forgotten and forever missed.
