Obituary

Our beloved mom, Alice Ruth Marcella Honhenbrink, Unterbrink, Brooker, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2018. She was 89 years of age. Mom was born on April 30, 1929 In Kaleida, Ohio. She moved to Tucson, AZ in 1962 -1997. She then moved to Phoenix, AZ for the remainder of her life. She leaves behind a family that knows without a doubt that we will be together one day for all eternity. This was something she was sure of. Mom was very strong in her faith and if there is anything we have learned from her, it was how to pray. Her relationship with God is something she continuously relied on, which is something she would want us to depend on in a time such as this. When we think about Mom, we remember her strength. Even in the hardest of times, her faith was strong and she persevered through. Mom was full of fun, her smile was infectious as we see in the picture. That picture was taken on her 89th birthday. She wore a crown because we told her she was the Queen of the family. She smiled and took it off with a humble look about her.

She leaves behind surviving children Roger Carl Unterbrink (Vicki), Daniel Richard Unterbrink (Chris ), Judy Kay Furno (Ralph), Kathleen Ann Hoekema (Pearson), Janice Marie Mize (Greg); 13 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two children, Kenneth Bernard Unterbrink, and Susan Ann Unterbrink.

She raised us to know Jesus as our Lord and Savior. We are not promised our next breath, but 2 Corinthian‘s 5:8 says, “We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.” We love you mom and we miss you every day… until we meet again in Heaven.

Mom will lay at rest at Holy Hope Cemetery, 3555 N. Oracle Rd., Tucson, Arizona 85705. Due to family out of state, a time TBD for family and friends to celebrate moms life will be posted soon. God Bless

Our dear mother of us seven
who has entered life in eternity
with God and family in heaven
and now seeing all things with clarity

leaving us with a great legacy
of wisdom insight courage and strength
for us to carry on with integrity
for which she strives for in great length

for us to remember the times past
and to know how life has progressed
and still take the time to make memories last
so wonderful a attribute that she possessed

we will always remember the spirit of love
she showed all of us on those many visits
with her and family a very caring love
even those times when only short visits

the pictures and stories that were told
memories that were implanted in each mind
on which we will always tightly hold
and then in them comfort will will find

as it is hard to say good by to a dear one
we take comfort in knowing that all is well
and life here on earth is finished and done
and mom is where we all can tell

she is wonderfully happy safe and free
of all the things we experience here
and to know she has new life to see
where she is, the skies will always be clear

We Love You Mom

My sincere condolences.
Aunt Alice was so nice to talk to----- she shared some memories about my Dad and Aunt Rita. After Dad died we often prayed together.
She was a sparkling lady.
